Last year we had the opportunity to dine in this restaurant and the experience was so cool that we decided to come back this year.
first with a party of 10, then a party of 6, it’s important to make reservations and for everyone to be on time, as you don’t get seated until your party is complete
Another restriction to note is that if your table wants to do Menu Degustación, everyone has to join in, as it was explained to us.
I still believe that that is the best way to experience this restaurant as you get a little bit of everything and most of the meals are beautiful and tasty.
Is it the best food you’ll ever have? maybe not, there is some hit and miss but the overall is top, hence the 5 stars, plus the wine pairing is also pretty good, the reserve they had was pretty light but it went surprisingly well.
The last plate was a fish I did not like, i was full at this time so maybe that was it, but i really didnt care about finishing it.
My top 3 meals where the Taco Callo de Hacha Ceviche that is served with a Flour Tortilla, an odd combination but trust the result, Lettuce with Sardine and Roasted Beans, I eat it like a taco too, and finally, another taco, this time Blue Corn Tortilla, with a Pork with Cilantro and Guacamole, I don’t even like pork but the acidity combined with the guacamole where one of the best experiences from that evening.
Service was fantastic at the hands of Jaime and Daniela, while having dinner a little cat and dog came by the table, so I asked Jaime for their names, Clarita and Sonia respectively, I was expecting the dog to be named Fauna, however Jaime told us that rumor has it, a previous dog named fauna was the inspiration for the restaurant, however, that was only a rumor he heard.
Architecture was in the hands of Alejandro D’acosta, known for his sustainable projects in the area, I believe this is one of the most beautiful projects in the valley.
The total for 6 was about $1100 USD, which is on the expensive side but not on the most expensive side for restaurants at this level.
