Today I started painting an image I had in my immense folder of reference images I have, that inspire me at some point, it was an unknown model at the time, but I manage to find her trough google images.
Her name is Hanna Wahmer, a Model from Berlin, Germany, in the end the painting doesn’t look like her so much, but it was inspirational nonetheless.
I started with the skin like always, and continued adding detail to the eyes.
I got to a point where I needed to start working on the hair, and oh boy, I suck at it.
So instead of using watercolors I switched to acrylics, which gave me a bit more control over the strands, later I finished it of with colored pencils.
