I was contacted by Darian for this project, have to admit the Cyberpunk aura is out of my expertise but was excited to hear she wanted something cool and surreal

I went to draft a few ideas to start and define the workflow to achieve something futuristic but still real. we opted to do VFX on real photos by using a digital avatar:

You know the drill, this process needs lots of references and for Darian was tricky, I had to dig on fan pages and restore images to capture her emotional range, as well as the reference photos I was provided with, although this wasn’t needed 100%, since the face would be a photo in the end, I still wanted to make use of the likeness to give myself the option of relighting the images.

The intro for this project was a simple but impactful one, Darian levitating above a minimalistic room, with a glowing glyph interface surrounding her, the dress I designed myself, but then got direction from Darian to make an alternative final, here are the comparisons

Honestly i like them both, the long white boots look dope but the skirt piece is also my favorite part, hard to choose.

The second Piece gathered inspiration from Evangelion, nothing much else to say honestly, such a powerful concept, changed the face to be looking at the viewer in the end.

The next piece we made was a bit more elaborate, in red is the concept I was going for, in white (snow) is the final image, honestly I love both again, lol

This one was a piece in a cosplay of sort of Free Fire.

Lastly, the Mantis piece, Darian went dark for a few moments before finishing the series, I didn’t have direction of where to go with the last image, but in May 2022 we came up with this idea, the crown is real, he metal bra and mantis are CGI.
